ICE network: start and pay in the ¡Es Eléctrico! app (or with an ICE RFID card). Sign-up asks for an ID/passport scan, a payment card and a Costa Rican (+506) phone number, and activation can take up to 24 h, so register before the trip or ask your rental company. ICE plugs are CCS1 / CHAdeMO / GB/T (no CCS2). 24/7 help: 1194, option 3. A 28 kW DC charger (CCS1 / GB/T, listed on the ASOMOVE live map) plus a slow AC Type 1 / J1772 plug (~3.4 kW) for a long lunch.
