A small eco-lodge and wildlife refuge five minutes from downtown La Fortuna, with rainforest, gardens and spring-fed ponds. On its evening frog walk, guides with flashlights find red-eyed, hourglass and other tree frogs, sleeping birds and, often, a fer-de-lance at a safe distance. Bird, sloth and butterfly-garden visits run by day.
