Tip
Arrange the hike through the Dos Brazos tourism office (it also handles Sendero El Tigre permits) and bring river shoes for the creek crossings.
Be careful
Trails are muddy and steep and creeks rise quickly after rain: wear closed shoes and long pants because of snakes, and turn back if the water is rising.
Getting there
Dos Brazos is about 12 km from Puerto Jiménez (taxi or weekday colectivo); the road is passable in a small car but 4x4 is recommended.
