Tip
Buy masks and weaving directly from the artisans in the village so the money reaches the makers, and visit in daylight: it is a long winding road.
Be careful
Keep an eye on your belongings in busy town centres, and dress respectfully if you go inside a church.
Getting there
Winding mountain road a few miles off the Pan-American Highway along the Río Térraba, in Buenos Aires canton; check road conditions after heavy rain.
