Tip
Trips run as multi-day liveaboard dive cruises from Puntarenas, so book far ahead with a licensed operator.
Be careful
The open-ocean crossing can be rough and the diving has strong currents and depth: dive only with the certification the operator requires, and follow ranger instructions.
Getting there
Reachable only by liveaboard boat from the Port of Puntarenas (about 36 hours each way); there are no day trips and landing is controlled by park rangers.
