Playa El Jobo (Bahía Salinas)
Beach · Guanacaste · hidden gem
A sheltered white-sand beach in Bahía Jobo, next to the fishing village of El Jobo: clear water that is good for snorkeling, shade trees along the sand and local boats at anchor. It gets breezy in the dry season but stays very private. A raised boardwalk and wooden lookout tower in the mangrove can be reached from the beach.

Tip
Pack snacks and a snorkel, then have lunch at a soda in El Jobo village – fresh fish is the thing here.
Be careful
No lifeguards; the November–March wind can make the water choppy in the afternoon.
Getting there
From La Cruz, drive down to Bahía Salinas and on past Soley and Copal to El Jobo; the road doesn't reach the sand, so the last bit is a short walk.
