Tip

Pay only official or posted parking: informal 'parking attendants' on the main road often overcharge. It's a great way to end a park day on Tuesday, when the park is closed.

Be careful

Strong rip currents: swim only near a staffed lifeguard tower or not at all, and if a current pulls you out, swim parallel to shore before heading back. Don't leave bags unattended on the sand.
