Tip
The southern end is calmer and less crowded; Playa Conchal and Potrero are each a short drive away for a beach-hopping day.
Be careful
Don't sit under the manchineel trees at the back of the beach — their sap and fruit cause rashes and blisters. Waves are usually small but can be powerful at times.
