Tip

Book through the Dos Brazos tourism office (permit and guide come bundled) and start at first light: the first and last stretches are steep hills.

Be careful

Medium-high difficulty: carry at least two litres of water, wear closed shoes and long pants, and turn back if rain swells the creeks.

Getting there

Dos Brazos is 12 km from Puerto Jiménez (taxi about US$25, weekday colectivo); the trail entrance is a 5 to 10 minute walk from the tourism office; guide and permit are mandatory.
